Fritzposten is a campsite with wooden tent platforms, hot water showers, toilet and kitchen. The campsite is situated on Farm Vaalgras, which has been owned by the Meiburg family since 1898 and has always been a cattle farm. The farm is over 2000 meters above sea level. This gem is located in the beautiful Khomas Hochland, only a few miles west of Windhoek and well reachable via the Kupferberg Pass road (C26). Eland, Zebra, Gemsbok, Springbok, Warthog and Jackal call this place their home, and if you're lucky, you might even spot a leopard or cheetah on the game drives.
Wake up to the sounds of the African wilderness, guinea fowl cackling included.

DIRECTIONS
Take the C26 off the western bypass up Kupferberg road (approx. 28km).
After about 28 km you will reach the turnoff towards Namibgrens/Solitaire on C26.
At the junction do NOT turn left but continue straight.
The road becomes the D1982.
Continue straight on the D1982 for 11.2km.
You will be coming over a slight rise with a slight right turn. There is a gate on the left of the road and one on the right.
Take the gate on the right by turning right and follow the jeep tracks for 2,4 km until you find Fritzposten.
If the gate is not open there is a number lock on it. The code for the lock will be communicated to you with your booking confirmation.
